With the Team in Pakistan
Gary Finkbeiner and Peter Negron have returned to the U. S. after spending time in Pakistan ministering in churches, visiting the leaders of our literacy program, and holding a reporting and training conference with our Punjab and Sindh teams of evangelists and pastors. These pictures are from that conference which was held in a rented room in Islamabad.
This from Gary:
In Punjab we now have 14 areas where active church planting and evangelism take place on a weekly basis. Each day is dedicated to reaching two places or more. Peter and I were impressed with the dedication and concentration the men exhibited.
Irfan is evangelizing and discipling a group of students in one area all of whom are in their early twenties. More baptisms are being prepared this month.
Mehboob, Adnan, and Irfan have added Ibrahim, our newest Covenant Leadership Training Institute graduate, to their team on a part-time, volunteer basis, working primarily as an evangelist.
In Sindh, Shakeel and Shahzaib are working now in 15 areas with Shakeel discipling a young pastor who is experiencing great growth in his local congregation.
Shahzaib recently baptized 40 more new believers in his community, and the church in Sanghar is growing in numbers.
Please pray for these committed Christian leaders and for Shakeel as he assumes more leadership responsibility on this team.
"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." - 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
