With an Eye on the Goal

Zarish, our amazing literacy teacher in Islamabad, reports this: "Students are going very well day by day and learn very fast. Remember us in your daily Prayers Amen."

We all have to start with the alphabet. This probably looks strange to our North American readers!

Then we practice writing . . .

. . . and explain what we understand.

The teacher keeps the records and she is proud of these women who are working faithfully to be able to read and write in Urdu. We are so thankful for this opportunity to give them important tools for a better life.

And, for most of these women, their real desire is to learn to read the Bible on their own. Let's pray for them as they work toward that God-honoring goal!
