When help is needed. . .

You may remember our posts last September about the massive flooding in the province of Sindh where Shakeel, Rustam, and Shahzaib are ministering. There was a loss of food sources as many crops were ruined. Homes were damaged and/or destroyed, and people still find themselves living in open areas waiting for help to rebuild.

The Reach the Nations team has been actively working since them to provide help to those in most desperate need. Shakeel, working with Agape Trust and Awana Pakistan, organizations which have donated many of the supplies needed, has headed the RTN efforts in Sindh.

After disaster such at this one, clean water can be hard to find, and contaminated water is the cause of many diseases. So our team delivered water tanks that can be filled with pure water and stored near families so they will have safe water for cooking, drinking, and cleaning when they need it.

Other food and household supplies were delivered as well.

As goods were brought in, encouragement was given and, whenever possible, one of the RTN men led a service of worship, thanksgiving, and teaching for those who chose to attend.

These relief efforts continue, so please pray that in this time of great need, many will be willing to listen to the Good News of the gospel message and respond to the invitation to follow Christ.

We are thankful for the RTN team members who are faithfully serving day-by-day in this difficult situation.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him." - Psalm 28:7
