Growing in Khairpur

Pastor Rustam is continuing to lead the church in Khairpur, the first church established by Reach the Nations in Pakistan. This church is located in Khairpur, Province of Sindh.

Rustam speaks no English, so reports of his ministry come through Shakeel who visits regularly. On this visit he shared with Rustam the teaching that was given by Gary Finkbeiner, Peter Negron, and Mike Hayden at the RTN conference held earlier this year. Shakeel is in the process of translating the handouts and notes from those sessions so Rustam will have materials to study on his own.

Rustam is invaluable to RTN because of his knowledge of local dialects in the greater Khairpur area. With this ability to communicate, he can reach out to surrounding villages with the message of the Gospel.

The church at Khairpur is not only growing in numbers, but there are members there who are growing in obedience to God by giving of their income to the work there. This congregation, though impoverished by worldly standards, is now supplying a portion of their pastor's income. We praise God for that sign of spiritual maturity.

This church decided to raise funds to install a hand pump for clean water in their town. With the funds they gave and the balance provided, the pump has now been purchased and will soon be installed.

Please pray for this congregation as they continue to mature in their understanding of the Bible, their service to others, and their own growth in grace.
