Getting Started in Bharokay Pula
We are so pleased to show you this picture of Irfan leading a fledging congregation in the Punjabi city of Bharokay Pula. This is the newest area in which Reach the Nations is working. After visiting many times in this region to get acquainted with the people and to earn their trust, Irfan is now leading prayer meetings with those who choose to gather for worship and teaching from God's Word.
Bharokay Pula is the sixth church being planted by RTN in Pakistan. Irfan recently graduated from a four-month, full-time training program through Covenant Leadership Training Institute and now is ready to pastor a church. We are excited to see what God is doing through his ministry.
A few miles away, Mehboob continues the work in Daska. The photos below show a recent prayer meeting, held in a borrowed house because of the rainy weather that day. We are praying that Mehboob will be able to find a building that will be usable for the ongoing meetings of this little congregation.
Mehboob has trained a Sunday School teacher to teach the children stories from the Bible and songs to sing. They have about twenty children regularly attending the Sunday School classes.
And Adnan, shown below, continues the work in DhamoKay. They have recently added new members to the church and have two new converts named Fahad and Ramish. Please pray for them as they grow in their Christian faith.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”- Ephesians 2:8-9
