From Student to Teacher
Shakeel is in his second week of teaching at Covenant Leadership Training Institute (CLTI) in Karachi.
He is teaching the book of Romans to sixteen young men who are involved in various aspects of Christian ministry in Pakistan.
Shakeel is shown below with two of his students: Irfan and Shahzaib, both of whom are sponsored at CLTI by RTN.
A couple of years ago, Shakeel finished his own CLTI training in Zimbabwe and returned to his ministry as part of the Reach the Nations (RTN) team in Pakistan with new confidence and understanding.
This past year, Shakeel along with Mehboob, Adnan, and Irfan completed a months-long study of the book of Romans via Zoom sessions taught by Gary Finkbeiner of RTN and joined by Timothy Peng, Peter Negron, and Warren Van Kampen of the U.S. Reach the Nations team. With that background, Shakeel is well-qualified to teach the CLTI students shown above.
In this photo Gary Finkbeiner is completing two weeks of teaching at CLTI. He has now returned to the U. S.
As for Shakeel, we are rightfully proud to see members of our team rise in areas of leadership and excellence. We all can learn from their example: As we increase our knowledge and grow in our faith, we, too, should look for opportunities to share what we learn with others.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
