Christmas Joy in Pakistan

Christ Church of Dhamonki (aka DhamoKay) ended 2022 with a joyful celebration of the birth of Christ. The picture above shows children receiving gifts from Pastor Adnan, but first they had to answer a question from the Bible. Some of the questions were easy, some were hard, but everyone received a gift!

A celebratory service was held with preaching from Pastor Adnan, congregational singing, and special programs presented by the kids:

Then there was the Bible quiz competition where Sunday School students had a chance to show what they know about the Bible:

And Sunday School teachers were honored for their service in teaching the children in their classes every week:

This congregation is comprised of many who face struggles of work and food and health every day, but together they find help and joy and reasons to celebrate. Pastor Adnan comments that these large-scale events are an open door to others in their community who may not come to a traditional church service, but will come to a time of celebration. Pray that many who came to see will return to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus.
