Challenges and Blessings

Brother Irfan shared the word of God in a weekly prayer meeting in Daska. You will see the man sitting near Irfan (we met him a couple of posts ago). Because he is an old man, it's difficult for him to sit on floor, so he gets to use one of the few chairs available. Irfan taught on thankfulness that day, using 1 Thessalonians 5:18 as his reference.

Mehboob reports that recent hot and rainy weather has caused some challenges to their ministry including difficulty in travel, wet floors in their places of meeting, and erratic electrical service.

But the people have been eager to gather together and modifications have been made where needed. In the picture above you see them meeting on a rooftop because the first floor had been flooded. Brother Mehboob is preaching and Irfan is at his side. The message was on the importance of faith and was based on Hebrews 11:1-3.

This elderly man was working in the fields and unable to attend the prayer meeting, so Mehboob and Irfan went out to visit him. Here Mehboob is teaching him the parable of the Sower and the Seed and Soils. Seems like an appropriate message for a man working in the fields!

The picture above is a gathering of two families in a home. They came to worship, to learn, and to pray. Irfan taught about new birth from John 3:1-13.

In DhamoKay, Adnan continues faithfully teaching and preaching in the church established there. The people come from surrounding villages to hear the Word of God and to worship. This week Pastor Adnan taught on the Love of God in Christ using Romans 8:31-19 as his basis. Mehboob, Irfan, and Adnan, the Reach the Nations Team in Punjab, ask for your continued prayers for them and their families and for God's blessing on their ministry.

"I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ." - Philemon 1:6
